Guidance Notes – Confirmation Statement

Since June 2016 companies have no longer submitted an annual return. Instead companies are required to confirm (and update) similar information at any time during a 12 month period in a confirmation statement. It is a criminal offence not to do this and the company and its officers may be prosecuted for failure to file a confirmation statement within the specified time period. 

This Guidance Note is a user friendly and practical guide covering what a confirmation statement is, how and when it needs to be filed as well as the contents of the confirmation statement. 

This guidance note relates to confirmation statements filed on or after 5th March 2024.
